Until the Miracle Remote, you needed your original Sony® remote to fully operate your TV.

Most original Sony® remotes sell for up to $89 and are NOT available in retail stores. Many have been discontinued or replaced by confusing substitutes. Most function buttons are not on the TV and you must have the Miracle Remote to access them.

Older Sony® TV’s, which seem to last forever, had specific buttons to auto-program in stations and switch from air to cable to go above channel 13. The Miracle Remote includes these buttons. Universals don't.

  
Sony® remotes use the select button to fully operate the Menu. The Miracle Remote includes this function most universals don't.

The Miracle Remote will change picture size on new Sony® wide screen TV’s and HDTV’s. Universals don't.

The Miracle Remote has full PIP including split screen. Universals do not operate split screen and only work some functions of PIP.
  
The Miracle Remote has been designed ergonomically, placing the buttons that you use regularly at the top. We have also made these buttons larger. Lesser-used functions have been placed at the bottom using smaller buttons, which are laid out in an organized manner.
